It’s been a good start for this season’s pulse crops. Winter beans are well established and spring drilling went into excellent seed bed conditions but there is still a very long way to go. With last year’s wet weather in mind and reports of disease pressure in winter beans beginning to circulate, it’s a good time to take a look at your nutrition programme and make sure you are doing everything in your control to mitigate risk. A nutritional boost to stimulate root development and provide for oilseed rape’s additional nutrition needs, will help maintain health and reliance in oilseed rape crops this spring. (more…)
Providing cereal crops with an early boost to root development will improve nutrient uptake, speed up establishment and promote healthy even growth. (more…)
Beet Raiser, is a pioneering new phosphite-based foliar nutrient, specifically aimed at improving yield in sugar beet crops.
We have seen some excellent results in our 2016 potato field trials. Trials undertaken by growers in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire on four varieties: Markies, Maris Piper, Sagitta and Divaa have shown yield increases averaging 20% with the use of multi-nutrient phosphite PK MAXX+.
The role of Potassium in metabolic processes such as protein synthesis and the movement of sugars within the plant is now well understood and recognised as crucial for maximising quality and yield. But it is now known Potassium also plays a significant role in helping crops resist disease and environmental stresses during winter dormancy and ensuring optimum supplies of Potassium to see crops through the winter months should not be overlooked.
